If you are reading this, you are my neighbor and I am happy to have you here in my digital kommunity and even more happy to have you in my physical community, HAMMOND. I have been living in this city for 2 decades now. I grew up here. My best childhood memories are in my community. This place is my home. I have not had the chance to personally speak to many of y’all:

Over the past years, HAMMOND has received a few improvements.
Some changes were smaller than others and some more impactful than others. No matter the size, the improvements made over these past years have increased the livelihood in our area. The side walks provide our regular walkers and bike riders a safer way to travel to their destinations, along with new speed bumps being placed in our communities to ensure safe driving speeds while our children are outside playing. Not to mention, the various developments in local parks was a major and much needed addition to our family oriented city.
These are improvements we have all been given the chance to reap the past few years. Each change took place because someone SAW THE NEED & SPOKE ON IT. Imagine how much more our community would improve if we SPEAK UP & SOLICIT CHANGE IN OUR ENVIRONMENT. I ask you to be BETTER TOGETHER with me. Be the CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE.
The questions, comments, and concerns we’ve raised so far have been taken into consideration and a few made a reality. LET US CONTINUE TO MAKE OUR REQUEST KNOWN. What one person experiences, we all experience. We may be a smaller city in Louisiana, but we have a lot of heart. To the ones who have stayed 20+ years long and strong, our community will be better, cleaner, and resourceful again.
